It has been all go for the training team recently. In Wellington, our Apprentices have been learning the art of hanging doors as well as getting comfortable with Plans and Specifications - skills and knowledge which will be invaluable for them. Thanks to Mike Fowler from James Hardie New Zealand Limited who shared his expert knowledge with our apprentices on James Hardie products.
In Central, our Apprentices and Project Management cadets have been learning about concrete construction. With a visit to Firth, they were shown the entire concrete construction process from when the order comes in including batching, and sampling and testing, to when the product ends up at its final destination.
Thanks to Warren Hayne (Plant Supervisor) and Wayne Woods (Operations Manager) from Firth for showing the process that goes into the supply of good-quality concrete.
