Site Manager Nigel is responsible for the construction process, from setting up the site through to practical completion and achieving a Code Compliance Certificate. On each project, he coordinates daily site activities and manages labour and resources to keep things running smoothly.
With 30 years’ experience as a site manager, Nigel is very familiar with construction detailing and methodologies, and is also a qualified architectural draughtsman. In recent years he has been the senior site manager on some sizeable projects in Wellington. His favourite was the structural upgrade and full refurbishment of a commercial building on Queens Drive in Lower Hutt, which he controlled from demolition and foundation works, to the installation of structural steel and cladding, right through to internal services and fit-out.
When he’s not at work, you may find Nigel in a suit of armour; he’s a member of the Hutt Valley Stags medieval combat fighting team.
