According to Mates in Construction, the industry has the highest rates of suicide of any commercial sector in the country, particularly in males.
We joined Mates in Construction and hundreds of other construction sites around New Zealand in flying flags to spread a message about suicide prevention.
Following on from this, our team have participated in the Mates in Construction General Awareness Training to raise awareness that there is a problem with suicide and its contributing risk factors within our industry – and that we can all be part of the solution.
