40 years ago today, an Apprentice by the name of Andrew Smith stepped onto his first job site with Maycroft Construction.
Andrew has seen the business grow substantially as his career developed through his Apprenticeship to Project Manager and now Project Support Manager and Maycroft Director. He has worked on many projects in the Wellington Region such as Amesbury School, St Joseph’s Home of Compassion and KiwiRail Plant Strengthening to name just a few. In recent years, Andrew’s focus has been on supporting the future of our industry through the development and implementation of our industry-leading Training & Development programme, and on shaping our business to continue to serve the lower North Island construction scene for many years to come.
