Hernie’s story is one of growth and achievement, evolving from a dedicated cadet to a Services Manager known for her expertise in complex projects such as the SPIRE Palmerston North Hospital upgrade that included 6 operating theatres and a Catheter Lab. Her significant contributions to the Manukura Campus Development helped transform a temporary setup into a permanent, state-of-the-art facility that fosters both academic and sporting excellence. Hernie managed quality assurance, documentation, and services coordination, ensuring smooth progression from design to completion.

Hernie holds a Master of Architectural Science (Project Management) from Victoria University of Wellington, where she was honoured with an Excellence Award. Before joining Maycroft, Hernie was an Assistant Engineer for a HVAC company doing mechanical design and commissioning. Her career is further enriched by international experience as a Project Engineer in China and Singapore, where she oversaw the construction of three ice ships under tight deadlines and navigated multilingual challenges. Hernie’s diverse background and dedication make her a standout leader in delivering impactful, well-executed projects.
